This year’s Annual Service of Praise saw a move back to the lovely setting of the Lady Chapel and was packed to capacity. The Provincial Prior was not only delighted to have the support of other senior Knights Templar such as Glyn Hughes, the Provincial Prior of Middlesex, Norman Bliss, the Past Provincial Prior of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire but also from the Craft Provincial Grand Master, Colin Harris, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Allan Atkinson, the Assistant Provincial Grand Masters, Jim Sharpley and David Ferris and Keith Gilbert, the Provincial Grand Secretary. The Provincial Prior reminded us of the Precepts of the Order and we received a thought provoking message given by Canon Michael Sansom, Canon in Residence. We were delighted by the singing of "The Lords Prayer" and "Rest in the Lord" by Ann MacDonald and the congregation gave such rousing involvement with the hymn singing that the roof was in danger of being lifted. The usual refreshments were received at Ashwell House accompanied by the social pleasure enjoyed when people of like minds gather together. Altogether a very enjoyable and stimulating occasion.
