Meeting of Great Priory 18th May 2011

 

The Great Vice Chancellor having announced that the Most Eminent and Supreme Grand Master Leslie Felgate Dring would be retiring on that day, and Installing his successor, the Warwickshire Masonic Centre was filled to bursting point. The Grand Master's Advisors having chosen R.E.Kt. Timothy John Lewis G.C.T. , he was Proposed and Seconded in the traditional manner, and Installed in a very impressive and sincere way by the retiring Grand Master. This duty having been fulfilled R.E.Kt. Dring retired from Great Priory to tumultous applause, showing the great respect and popularity in which he is held.

Earlier that day fifteen Knights from Hertfordshire, including the Provincial Prior R.E.Kt. Brian Blanchard, the Past Provincial Prior, R.E.Kt. Peter Fotheringham KCT and the Provincial Sub-Prior, E.Kt. Tony Lapsley, met up at the usual venue for the traditional Chinese Lunch. They then joined up with the other seven Knights from Hertfordshire to see, in addition to the aforementioned, the Promotions and Appointments including the following from Hertfordshire:
